A fascinating itinerary “back in time” to try to reconstruct the history of the theatre in Ferrara.
A walk through the town centre looking for the tracks of all those places, public and private, which have been enlivened by spectacles, dances and tournaments for a long season, from Renaissance to the epoch of the Legations (Papal domination) until the early 19th century, thus demonstrating the modernity and liveliness of the ferrarese cultural environment. Repertories, actors, music, authors and images will accompany us along this path in pursuit of some memories which should not die! • La Sala Grande o Teatro degli Intrepidi (1565 – 1660)
